A seventh individual has been charged in connection with a shooting at Auckland’s Sofitel Hotel last month.
Shots were fired at the hotel in the city’s Viaduct Harbour on April 15.
The shooting was part of a gang feud between the Mongols and the Headhunters, but no one was hurt in the assault.
According to Detective Inspector John Sutton, a 25-year-old man was arrested this morning in Northland after a search warrant in Whananaki.
He appeared in Whangarei District Court today charged with becoming an accessory after the fact and was scheduled to appear in Auckland District Court later this month.
A 48-year-old man was convicted and charged with becoming an accessory after the fact in Northland last Thursday.
He was released after being found on the same premises as a 27-year-old man who was arrested and charged with serious gun offences.
The guy, 48, was also scheduled to appear in Auckland District Court later this month.
Further arrests, according to Sutton, are likely.
