Operation TURA TAKAIBANGO Troops in conjunction with the LAFIYA DOLE Air Task Force effectively destroyed 7 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist gun trucks and decimated a number of unconfirmed terrorists when they attempted to attack their location on the outskirts of Mars in the Borno State Mars Local Government Area.
A statement issued by Brig. Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, acting Director-General of the Defense Media Operations, said that the gallant soldiers, based on reliable information about the attack, had been stationed in an ambush site where they tactically withdrew and waited for the arrival of the terrorists before they opened fire that led to a fierce battle that resulted in the successes recorded as having been recorded.
The soldiers are still engaged in the pursuit of fleeing terrorists for further exploitation.
