Simon Bridges storms out of Parliament in spat with Speaker Trevor Mallard

Senior National Party MP Simon Bridges has stormed out of Parliament while declaring Speaker of the House Trevor Mallard a twat.

His colleague Paul Goldsmith also left the debating chamber after an argument with Mallard over his question line.

The run-in is just the latest conflict between the Opposition party and the Speaker, who have repeatedly butted heads this year.

National had attempted to move a no-confidence motion in the Speaker early this month, but failed.
