According to a new Forbes profile on the singer and entrepreneur, Rihanna has officially become a billionaire.
The 33-year-old is worth $1.7 billion, Forbes reported on Wednesday, noting Rihanna’s fortune comes primarily from her Fenty Beauty makeup line that she has a 50% stake in.
Rihanna’s other earnings come from her Savage x Fenty lingerie line, Fenty Skin line, and singing and acting career.
Rihanna is now the world’s wealthiest female musician and the world’s second richest female entertainer, trailing only Oprah Winfrey.
In April 2016, Rihanna signed a deal with French luxury group LVMH to launch Fenty Beauty, with the makeup line set to launch in 2017. LVMH also collaborates with Rihanna on her Fenty Skin line.
Rihanna and LVMH previously had a fashion brand called Fenty, which was put on hold in February.
She first launched her Fenty x Puma clothing line in 2016, and her clothing partnership with LVMH was announced in May 2019. Rihanna is the first woman at LVMH to launch an original brand and the first woman of colour to lead an LVMH maison.
Rihanna’s most recent album, Anti, was released in 2016. She teased the release of new music in February 2020, and her most recent appearance was on PartyNextDoor’s “Believe It” in March 2020.
