Sen. Rand Paul was banned from YouTube for seven days on Tuesday after violating the media platform’s three-strike policy by releasing a video arguing that masks are ineffective in combating COVID-19.

A YouTube spokesperson said his video contained “countervailing views from local health authorities,” according to CNN.

Paul slammed the decision, labelling those who made it “leftwing cretins.” He said that the video cited two peer-reviewed articles that backed up his claims.

Georgia Republic Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Twitter account was suspended for breaking the platform’s COVID-19 Misinformation policy.

She was banned for a week after tweeting that the FDA should not approve COVID-19 vaccinations. She’s been dangled from the platform several times.
