Police in New York was attempting to apprehend a loose horse on Staten Island.

A loose horse was seen roaming the streets and grazing on lawns in a Staten Island suburb, prompting police to act.

According to the New York Police Department, the horse bolted from its trainer and wandered down suburban streets in the Stapleton area on Wednesday afternoon.

Before being apprehended by authorities, the horse made its way to the Goodhue Community Center.

According to police, the horse was safely returned to its owner.
