New Zealand Prime Minister Ardern extends the COVID-19 lockdown in Auckland.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on Monday that the country’s largest city, Auckland, will remain under lockdown for another two weeks in order to control the spread of the coronavirus’s Delta variant.

There will be no changes to the social restrictions that have already been in place in Auckland under alert level 3 for more than two months, Ardern said at a news conference.
