Two companies linked to a missing Auckland businesswoman are in receivership or liquidation.
Police on Saturday located a body in the search for 55-year-old Elizabeth, or Ying Zhong, however it has not yet been formally identified.
The body was found in the eastern suburb of Sunnyhills.
The companies register shows Zhong as a director of Carrick Wines, which is in receivership, and Digifilm Limited, which is in liquidation.
She is also listed as the director of Digipost Entertainment Limited, which has a note on the register stating the company is overdue to file an annual return.
“This company is now overdue in its obligation to file an annual return. If the annual return is not filed immediately the Registrar will initiate action to remove the company from the register,” it said.
A second company, Zoomsun Shenyang Limited, which Zhong is listed as a director, has the same note.
A post-mortem is due today; in the meantime the death is being treated as unexplained.
