Western Union Co (WU.N) announced on Thursday that its services in Sudan would be suspended as of Oct. 26 “due to the military coup.”

At least 11 people have been killed in clashes between soldiers and anti-coup protesters since the Sudanese army seized control earlier this week.

Western Union said it is monitoring the situation in Sudan and will “resume operations as soon as it is safe to do so.”
