Quavo gets back at Nicki Minaj on ‘Huncho Dreams’

If you think that Cardi B is the only rapper who has beef with Nicki Minaj, think again. And this time, it’s actually a male MC — Migos’ Quavo — who is taking aim at Minaj.

On his debut solo album, “Quavo Huncho,” released Thursday night, Quavo responds to Minaj’s recent diss track “Barbie Dreams” with his similarly titled “Huncho Dreams” — a song that suggests that he and Minaj had a tumultuous fling.

“She said I hurt her feelings 52 times (Two) / Call up queen (Nicki) / The queen can’t flex on a young bull (Flex) / Made her scream (Scream) / Chanel, I bought her two of ’em / You can check IG (Hey, IG) / ‘Cause when she post, it go up,” Quavo raps over the rumbling, ominous groove.

Later, he continues to make the object of his rap attack clear while riffing on Drake’s smash “In My Feelings”: “Nicki, do you love me?/Why you crying?/She don’t want to be a queen unless she got me/She don’t want to be on scene unless we married.”

Finally, Quavo quasi-apologizes for any hurt feelings that Nicki may have about them: “Bounce that ass, Nicki/Shake it like Iggy […] If I hurt your feelings, I am truly sorry.”

All of this is clapping back at Minaj’s “Barbie Dreams,” off her new album “Queen.” In that song — which also spits some fire about Drake, 50 Cent and Meek Mill — Minaj references Quavo: “Somebody go and make sure Karrueche okay, though/I heard she think I’m tryna give the coochie to Quavo,” she raps, referring to Quavo’s rumored ex, model-actress Karrueche Tran. “They always wanna beat it up, goon up the p—y.”

And how exactly does Cardi B fit into all of this? Well, the bad blood between her and Minaj goes back to when both of the female rappers were featured on Migos’ “Motorsport” last year, and then there was some drama between the two afterward. And, of course, Cardi is married to Migos member Offset.

Cardi is also one of the guests on “Quavo Huncho,” appearing on the hypnotic “Champagne Rosé” with none other than the Queen of Pop, Madonna. Also featured on Quavo’s star-studded album are Drake (“Flip the Switch&rdquo, Travis Scott (“Rerun&rdquo and Kid Cudi (“Lost&rdquo.

Not surprisingly, Minaj herself is nowhere to be found on this LP.
