Another lawyer withdraws from Cosby’s case

Yet another lawyer is saying goodbye to Bill Cosby.

Pennsylvania-based attorney Joseph Green Jr., who represented the entertainer-turned-inmate at his sentencing, filed papers Friday indicating he wishes to withdraw from the 81-year-old’s case.

Cosby — now known as inmate No. NN7687 at State Correctional Institution Phoenix — will continue his appeal process repped by lawyers Brian W. Perry and Kristen L. Weisenberger.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Cosby, who has been behind bars since he was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison on Sept. 25, fired Green — or if Green resigned.

The decision must still be approved by Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill.

Cosby’s defense team has been a veritable revolving door of representation, with the disgraced entertainer hiring Green this year following his April conviction on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.

Green was hired after Cosby canned Hollywood hotshot Tom Mesereau, Kathleen Bliss and others who represented him at his retrial.

Mesereau et al. came on after Cosby tossed initial trial attorneys Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa following his June 2017 mistrial.

Green, Perry and Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt did not immediately return messages.

Prior to his departure, Green had just enough time to file his appeal of the conviction and sentence with trial judge O’Neill, which recycles previous defense claims that O’Neill was biased and should have recused himself from Cosby’s case.

O’Neill has yet to rule on that motion.
