More than 110million viewers tuned into the show, held during the break in the New England Patriots' 34-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons

The star began her incredible half-time show perched on the stadium roof, showing off her stunning figure in a short silver jewelled leotard and fishnet tights.Adding a dramatic mask, Gaga then jumped on to the pitch and wowed the crowd in Houston, Texas, with a 12-minute medley of her songs including Poker Face and Born This Way.

Despite two costume changes she avoided any wardrobe mishaps, and has been widely praised for the show-stopping performance.

About 110million TV viewers watched her set, during a break in the New England Patriots’ 34-28 win against the Atlanta Falcons.
While many fans expected the star to use the platform to make a political statement, the singer focused more on her music for the show.

“The only statements that I’ll be making during the half-time show are the ones that I’ve been consistently making throughout my career,” she previously said.

However she did perform her hit Born This Way, including the lyrics: “No matter gay, straight or bi/Lesbian, transgendered life/I’m on the right track baby/I was born to survive.”

And surprising many, she also performed Woodie Guthrie’s This Land is Your Land, which some viewers have claimed could have been a subtle dig at new President Donald Trump.

“One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” she said, in an apparent jab.

Mid-way through the medley of hits, Lady G sat down at a piano and performed Million Reasons.
“America, how you doing tonight? We’re here to make you feel good. Do you want to feel good?” she asked the crowd.

And proving she’ll never forget where she came from, the star also gave a shout out to her beloved mum and dad at home.

She closed out the show with an explosive rendition of Bad Romance.

Completing the show with a huge mic drop, fireworks went off behind her in an incredible finale.

Earlier this week, Gaga spoke of her excitement at being the star performer this year, following in the footsteps of Beyonce, Madonna, and her personal favourite, Michael Jackson.
At a press conference on Thursday the New Yorker vowed to put on a show the sporting crowds will "never forget."

She revealed her favourite half-time memory was watching the King of Pop rock the Rose Bowl in California in 1993 and gushed: "Watching Michael Jackson do the halftime show is one of the fondest memories that I have.
"He encapsulates everything that you love about a great performer.
"You watch him go on stage and you can see he's getting his head into the zone and he's having a true defining moment. It's what it must feel like to be a champion."

Fans and fellow stars have praised the stunner for the show, as Katy Perry tweeted: "I want jumping gifs stat! Bravo @LadyGaga."

Chrissy Teigen added: "YES Gaga!!"

While Ellen DeGeneres wrote: "That was so incredible @LadyGaga."

Fergie added her voice to the flood of praise, writing: "YES @LadyGaga just DID THAT!!"

And even Ivanka Trump wrote: "Incredible performance by @ladygaga."
