Wide receiver Noah Brown became the fourth Ohio State player to leave school early to enter the NFL Draft.
The third-year sophomore announced Saturday night on Twitter that his time as a Buckeye is over after only one year as a starter. He finished the 2016 season with 32 catches for 402 yards and seven touchdowns.
Brown missed the previous season with a broken leg. His decision to declare for the draft was surprising considering his brief experience at Ohio State and his two remaining years of eligibility.
The other three Buckeyes to opt out of school early for the NFL Draft are on the defensive side: linebacker Raekwon McMillan, safety Malik Hooker and cornerback Gareon Conley.
"I want to thank everyone at Ohio State University and Buckeye Nation for the best experience I could ever ask for," Brown said on Twitter. "However after much thought, prayer, and conversation with my loved ones I have decided it is time for me to move on to the next level and chase my dreams. I have decided to forgo my remaining years of eligibility and will be declaring for the 2017 NFL draft!"
