Horror As Hundreds Die In Maine, All Had Just ONE Alarming Thing In Hand

Robert Rich
Maine is in panic mode as at least one person has died every single day over the past year within the state, but that’s not even the worst part. As it turns out, the hundreds of people dead all had just one alarming item in their hands at the time – and residents were sickened after hearing what it was.
The year of 2016 was a bit busier than usual for police officers in the state of Maine as statistics for at least one aspect of deaths was noticed to be on the rise. Unfortunately, it’s not so much a matter of police response time as officers were usually too late to do anything about the deaths — and there’s just one reason why.

As it turns out, each of the victims had just one thing in their hand at the time of death or just a few minutes before, as they all passed away on account of a drug overdose. According to Maine officials, they have seen a drastic spike in the number of those dying from the use of Heroin.
Deaths from heroin have skyrocketed across the state in the last few years, more than quadrupling since 2014 when 57 people died from overdoses. That figure rose to 108 in 2015, and while the official numbers on 2016 overdoses in Maine have not yet been released, the number is expected to experience another disturbing jump. The latest statistics offered by the state Attorney General counted 286 heroin fatalities through Sept. 30. Officials attribute much of the spike to the ever growing prevalence of fentanyl, a painkiller 50 to 100 times more powerful than morphine, cut into heroin batches, reports WLBZ.
The epidemic is swamping police in Maine with emergency calls, where in many cases the officer must revive people with the overdose reversal drug Narcan. Veteran officers on the force say the situation is worse than anything they have seen in their career. [Source: The Daily Caller]
Sadly, this is hardly an isolated case within the state of Maine as trends like this are on the rise across the country. Mad World News has reported on several instances of neighborhoods being thrust into chaos when a bad batch of drugs came out and left addicts lying helpless on the streets, choking on their own bodily fluids.

As one would imagine, law enforcement is more than disappointed in this reality. “It just tells us that we’re not working hard enough in the prevention world, we are not working hard enough as a society on the treatment front,” Portland Police Chief Michael Sauschuck commented. “You can’t even wrap your head around the frequency that’s happening.”
In this day and age, you’d have to be living under a rock not to know that drugs are bad for you, but people are still injecting themselves with the poison every day. In this world, actions have consequences, and that’s exactly what we’re seeing with these numbers.
If you press your luck long enough, chances are, it’s going to catch up with you. Sadly, when you’re playing with drugs, there’s often only one way it ends – in death. It’s best to avoid the crap altogether. In the end, it’ll probably end up saving you more than just a couple of bucks.
