George Michael reportedly visited the mother of his first love, who died of AIDS, in secret.
The devastated singer wrote hit song Jesus To A Child as a tribute to Anselmo Feleppa, who passed away in 1993.
Even after his death, Michael continued to visit his late boyfriend’s mother Alice at her home in Petropolis, a mountain town outside of Rio, Brazil.

Alice told The Sun: ‘My love for him is very deep. If this hadn’t happened to Anselmo they’d have been together today.
‘Even after my son died, he still treated me like his mother-in-law. He was a wonderful person.’
The 89-year-old was informed of George’s death hours before it was made known to the public.

Michael met dress designer Anselmo Feleppa in a hotel lobby in the early ’90s.
In an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in 2007, he said: ‘I don’t know if people will relate to this, but there have only been three times in my life that I’ve really fallen for anyone.
‘And each time, on first sight, something has clicked in my head that told me I was going to know that person. And it happened with Anselmo across a lobby.’
He added: ‘This was the first love of my entire life.
‘This was the first person I ever shared my life with. It was tragic that I lost him, but it was a wonderful, wonderful experience meeting him.’
Michael was 27 when he started dating Anselmo, who died aged 33.
