Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has announced that he wishes to retire after only 10 more years in management.
Conte, who took over the reins at Stamford Bridge in the summer, has been a revelation this season, with the Blues winning 13 matches on the bounce in the Premier League before a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.
Despite the club’s technical director, Michael Emenalo, recently stating that he’s hopeful Conte will stay on at Chelsea ‘forever’, the 47-year-old has no such plans.
Pep Guardiola, earlier this week, claimed that he was ‘arriving at the end’ of his coaching career and it seems his Italian rival has a similar idea in mind.
‘Sir Alex Ferguson is a good example for me,’ Conte said.

‘When I see him and I see Arsene [Wenger], you are talking about two monsters, two great managers. I hope to have not completely their career, but 10 years. That’s enough for me.
‘But football is our life. When you decide to do this job, it is because you like to have this pressure. And the moment that you miss it, we are in trouble.’
Ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Peterborough, Emenalo said: ‘Everyone can see he is doing an absolutely sensational job, so I am not surprised that the fans and everybody loves him.
‘We love him too. Personally, I think there’s an opportunity for him to stay forever.’
